Derry is the Managing Director of Rosewood Private Investments and serves as a voting member of The Rosewood Corporation’s Investment Committee. Previously, he served in various capacities for Rosewood Management Corporation, including Portfolio Analyst and Investment Manager. Prior to joining Rosewood in 1999, Derry was an analyst at Olicom, Inc.

Education

Derry earned a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Georgia and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Interests

Outside of work, Derry enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, riding bikes, snow skiing, and hunting.

Austin is a Director at Rosewood Private Investments. Prior to joining Rosewood, Austin was the Director of M&A at OnPoint Group, a private equity owned industrial services business where he led M&A initiatives across multiple divisions, coordinated post-close integration efforts and served as the liaison for the Board of Directors. Previously, Austin was an Associate at Trive Capital, a Dallas, TX, private equity firm, and an Investment Banking Analyst with Harris Williams & Co. in Richmond, VA.

Education

Austin holds a B.S.B.A. from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Interests

In his free time, Austin enjoys skiing, golfing, the mountains, and outdoor activities with his family.

Briton is a Director at Rosewood Private Investments. Prior to re-joining Rosewood in November 2019, Briton was a Principal at MHT Partners where he provided strategic advisory services and executed mergers and acquisitions transactions across several industries. Previously, Briton served as a Summer Associate for Rosewood while completing his MBA. Before pursuing his MBA, Briton spent seven years in Belgrade, Serbia, where he worked with Kron Capital Partners, a financial advisory boutique focused on Private Equity transactions in South Eastern Europe, and Colliers International where he led Investment and Corporate Advisory Services for Serbia and Montenegro.

Education

Briton holds a B.S. from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

In his free time, Briton enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, traveling, and sharing good food and drinks with family and friends.

Howard is a Principal at Rosewood Private Investments. Prior to joining Rosewood, he served as a Vice President at Trive Capital, a Dallas-based middle-market private equity firm. He began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Healthcare & Life Sciences group at Harris Williams.

Experience

Matt leads the Portfolio Operations Group at Rosewood Private Investments, where he works across the firm’s holdings to scale platforms, accelerate growth, and enhance enterprise value through strategic initiatives and operational transformation. Prior to joining Rosewood, Matt was a Vice President at Blackhill Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on restructuring and complex situations, where he was responsible for the execution of pre- and post-petition financial and operational restructuring advisory services, buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, corporate carve-outs, and private placement of debt and equity securities. Previously, Matt was also an Analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase in their Asset Management group.

Matt holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

Interests

In his free time, Matt enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with his wife Katie and their three dogs. He also appreciates good food, great company, and making the most of the outdoors.

Prior to Joining Rosewood as a Senior Associate in 2021, Jean was an Investment Banking Associate at Wells Fargo Securities, working on the forest products, paper and packaging M&A team.

Jean holds a B.S. with Honors in Accounting and Business Administration and a Minor in Poverty and Human Capability Studies from Washington and Lee University.

Interests

Jean enjoys traveling to visit family in Puerto Rico, North Carolina, and New York City; cooking her way through the Defined Dish cookbook; and finding new hiking (walking) trails in the Dallas area with her husband and daughter.

Kendall is a Vice President of Business Development at Rosewood Private Investments. Prior to joining Rosewood, Kendall was a Vice President of Business Development for a Houston-based, industrial focused private equity firm where she was responsible for sourcing transactions and managing intermediary relationships. Previously, Kendall worked in the Sponsor Coverage group at BBVA (now a part of PNC) executing and managing leveraged loans to private equity backed companies across industries, the compliance group at HBK Capital Management, and the Audit Assurance group at KPMG.

Kendall holds a B.A. and Masters in Accounting from the University of San Diego.

Interests

In her free time, Kendall enjoys being outside, golfing, and searching for the world’s best taco. Kendall also serves on the board of ECHO4US.

Prior to joining Rosewood in 2024, he spent two years as an associate at The Sterling Group, a Houston-based private equity firm. Before that, he began his career in R.W. Baird’s industrials group as an investment banking analyst.

Alex graduated from Southern Methodist University, where he received a B.B.A. with Highest Honors in finance.

G.T. is the Founder of, and a Senior Advisor to, Rosewood Private Investments where he served as Managing Director from its inception until April 2025. Previously, he served in various capacities for Rosewood Management Corporation, including Treasurer and Portfolio Analyst. Prior to joining Rosewood in 1996, G.T. was a pension consultant with Principal Financial Securities in Dallas.

G.T. earned a B.B.A. with honors from Texas Christian University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he led the control investment efforts of Capital Southwest Corporation, a publicly traded investment firm. Previously, Marquez was with the private equity firms Covalent Capital and SKM Growth Investors, and in Goldman Sachs’ high technology investment banking practice.

Education

Marquez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he received a B.A. from the Plan II Honors Program and a B.B.A. in Finance from the Business Honors Program.

Interests

Outside of work, Marquez enjoys working with community and service organizations by serving as a founding board member of the Dallas Chapter of Young Texans Against Cancer and on the University of Texas 1883 Council. He currently serves on the boards of the N of 1 Autism Research Foundation and the Lone Star Chapter of YPO. He also loves doing anything outdoors, such as camping and bass fishing, with his wife Lisa, their daughter Mia and son Dagen.
